I am giving 10/10 because for a 2-star hotel, it has everything you need. What you paid for, you got it. Room is renovated comparing to the pictures presented here, and quite all of the furniture is from Ikea, so it is ‘globally’ known type of a comfort. It is not small, compared to other single rooms in London (been in 3 hotels before). It is clean, they make up rooms on a daily basis. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely use this hotel again, as it is a good value. My room was on the ground floor, looking at the street. It is not busy by night, although near a main train station, it is a quiet street, the rush hours start at around 7am. The only thing to mention are a little thin walls, but nothing strange for an old building.

The room was a good size. I stayed on the second floor and there is a lift. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean with space to hang clothes and a tv that worked fine. The WIFI was also very good. The room had a kettle with tea and coffee, and this was topped up by the housekeeping staff the next day. Bathroom was fine if a little cramped. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from Kings Cross in a quiet area. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The night receptionist was kind enough to print out a ticket that I needed, and they were happy to look after my luggage for a few hours after I checked out. I was very happy with the service.

Good sized rooms compared with similar in the area. Backed away from the main streets, but still very accessible to stations/supermarkets/food within a 10min walk radius. Facilities were fairly basic but all worked. WiFi was good. Tv worked. Chargers worked. Easy to find. Nice temperature to the rooms (heating on most of the time, despite it being cold outside, but the windows were draughty. Just tucked the curtains into the sills). Basement room still had a window. Very good value for money with no additional costs for things. Basic, but comfortable for an overnight or two.

There was no breakfast included with my booking. I stayed two nights, and had stayed here previously. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and professional. After checkout I had a few hours to kill before an evening flight and could leave my luggage there to pick up later. Room was okay size, but not much space for clothing. The bathroom was clean and functional. The shower didn’t have much pressure but was still okay. There is a lift to all floors, and I was on the top floor.I would be happy to stay here again.

Needed a place to stay after trains were cancelled and it was fine - in particular it is a short walk from Kings Cross station. Rooms are reasonably sound-insulated from the road. The rooms are basic but reasonably clean, the bed is reasonably comfortable, and kettle for tea/coffee is provided. Staff are helpful and competent, including handling a booking a few minutes before arrival (not every hotel is good at this).
