Facade/entrance in Arriva Hotel

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and fairly new. Location near Kings Cross was good, a few decent pubs and breakfast joints nearby. Easy connections to underground and trains. Given the current cost of hotels in London, this place provides good value for money.

I walked in not expecting much for the price that I paid. As soon as I walked into my room my jaw dropped at how clean and tidy everything was. The bathroom was very clean and extra towels were left out for us. The bedsheets were fresh and the bed was very comfy.

I always stay in the Bloomsbury/King’s Cross/St Pancras area when I travel (either for work or pleasure (this trip was a hybrid of both)) to That London. It’s the perfect location for getting to ‘work’ and across London, via The Underground. I’ve tried a number of hotels over the years but Arriva Hotel has a been a revelation in all the right ways. My room was great with the right amount of space for both sleeping and showering. Proper wardrobe space too and tea/coffee making facilities. The WiFi is obviously Full Fibre as I get the same speeds at home. 😎 The big bonus is that the hotel has a lift!!??!! If you’ve stayed in ‘budget’ London hotels you’ll know how welcome but also unheard of that is. It makes all the difference when you’ve got luggage or just tired feet to take up to a 2nd/3rd floor room. There are also secure Left Luggage facilities that makes a big difference too. Have you seen how much private providers charge for that?? Last (but not least), the staff are very good, welcoming and friendly. I’m a people person, so that’s important to me. I’ve got an Arriva Hotel Bestie already (you know who you are) and that’s completing the reasons why I can’t recommend Arriva Hotel highly enough. You’re not ‘just’ a customer, you’re part of Family. In the words of Arnie: ‘I’ll be back (again & again)’

This hotel is very close to Saint Pancras and the offices in that general area. I was also lucky and stayed in one of the rooms that were below ground, and they were quite cool during the summer, which was wonderful. They even had windows that opened up. They were also very flexible allowing me to keep my luggage there the day I arrived as I rushed off to work and then checked in later that afternoon I did the same thing the day that I checked out, they had no problem with it. I really appreciated that. There was also a nice little pub 50 yards from the place that I had dinner at that was good .

The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and in a quiet street in Kings Cross. The hotel location is excellent for my travel purposes being very close to the Kings Cross Underground and so handy for my visit to the Emirates Stadium. Also, the hotel is close to Camden and it being a nice day, I enjoyed a lovely walk to the Camden markets in about 30 minutes. This was my first time staying in the Arriva but I hope it isn't my last. Nica late checkout time of 11am, very friendly and approachable hotel staff too.

Friendly very helpful staff, nice small (new?) Shower room, willing to keep suitcase before and after actual booked time. Asked on leaving if everything was satisfactory and when I said I would have liked a non-slip mat in the shower (I am elderly), the gentleman on the desk wrote my suggestion down carefully. I should possibly have also said that written instructions in the room on how to work the ceiling fan would have saved me experimenting for five minutes, but felt that might have made me sound picky!

I really liked the location, it is less than 10 minutes from King’s Cross Saint Pancras and it is connected perfectly both by tube and bus. The zone isn’t dangerous and nearby it is possible to find many places where to eat. Overall the hotel was fine, the room was clean and had everything needed. The staff was kind and helpful.

Good sized rooms compared with similar in the area. Backed away from the main streets, but still very accessible to stations/supermarkets/food within a 10min walk radius. Facilities were fairly basic but all worked. WiFi was good. Tv worked. Chargers worked. Easy to find. Nice temperature to the rooms (heating on most of the time, despite it being cold outside, but the windows were draughty. Just tucked the curtains into the sills). Basement room still had a window. Very good value for money with no additional costs for things. Basic, but comfortable for an overnight or two.

I am giving 10/10 because for a 2-star hotel, it has everything you need. What you paid for, you got it. Room is renovated comparing to the pictures presented here, and quite all of the furniture is from Ikea, so it is ‘globally’ known type of a comfort. It is not small, compared to other single rooms in London (been in 3 hotels before). It is clean, they make up rooms on a daily basis. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely use this hotel again, as it is a good value. My room was on the ground floor, looking at the street. It is not busy by night, although near a main train station, it is a quiet street, the rush hours start at around 7am. The only thing to mention are a little thin walls, but nothing strange for an old building.
